Mumbai – Saleem Sarang, State Vice President of the Nationalist Congress Party Ajit Pawar (NCP), had strongly condemned MLA Sangram Jagtap’s alleged anti-Muslim remarks and demanded disciplinary action from the party. Taking serious note of Sarang’s firm stance, the party’s national president, Ajit Pawar, has now responded by stating that he will seek clarification from Sangram Jagtap regarding his comments.
Responding to questions from journalists, Ajit Pawar said, “The Nationalist Congress Party is a secular party that follows the ideals of Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Shahu Maharaj, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Speaking against any religion is against the core principles of our party. I will ask Sangram Jagtap exactly what he said and why he said it.”
