Bridging the Rural-Urban Divide: IPL Foundation’s Efforts Under the Vision of PS Gahlaut

Indian Potash Limited (IPL) has played a pivotal role in introducing and promoting the use of potash in Indian agriculture, guided by the simple yet impactful vision of helping farmers achieve higher crop yields and better returns on their investment. While maintaining a strong focus on balanced fertilizer usage, IPL strategically diversified into allied sectors such as dairy, cattle feed, sugar, and rural warehousing, creating meaningful synergies through well-planned partnerships. These initiatives collectively reflect IPL’s long-standing commitment to bridging the rural–urban divide. To pursue this vision with focused intent, the IPL Foundation was established as the company’s dedicated CSR arm. Under the leadership of Dr. PS Gahlaut, Managing Director, Indian Potash Limited, the Foundation continues to work with unwavering dedication to empower farmers and strengthen rural communities across the nation.

“IPL Foundation is committed to the conservation of natural resources while actively promoting preventive healthcare, education, research and development, sports, community development, and rural outreach. The overarching objective is to bring balance and sustainability into the lives of rural communities that rely on agriculture as their primary source of livelihood. To translate this vision into meaningful action, IPL runs initiatives such as the Amrit Internship Program, supports climate change response efforts, and undertakes studies on biomedical waste management practices in hospitals,” highlights Dr. Parvinder Singh Gahlaut.
