This year, the initiative introduced a dedicated category titled ‘VOX Ceilings as a Design Statement’, developed in collaboration with FOAID. The category was conceived to highlight ceilings as a defining architectural element, often referred to as the fifth surface, that plays a critical role in shaping spatial experience and visual identity, yet remains underrecognized in mainstream design. The winning project was awarded a Mercedes, underscoring the intent to recognise design excellence. Spanning multiple architectural and interior segments, including hospitality, healthcare, public and institutional buildings, retail, commercial spaces, and residential projects, the initiative highlights how thoughtful material application and design intent intersect across diverse typologies.
