Chandigarh, After a long time, a film with a unique story is hitting the Punjabi cinema on March 11. As the title suggests, ‘Umran Ch Ki Rakheya’ is a movie that conveys that age is just a number. Featuring Raj Babbar and Poonam Dhillon as the main lead, the film will break all stereotypes associated with love, romance, and relationships. It will be released on the Chaupal OTT on March 11.
‘Umran Ch Ki Rakheya’ will encourage the audience to not let age become a barrier in life. The movie showcases how love and companionship blossoms between two senior citizens who are lonely in their individual lives. It aims to normalize having such feelings and desires at an old age. It not only deconstructs human emotions but also focuses on changing the mindset of youngsters and making them more sensitive to the needs of the elderly.
Conceptualized and shot in Chandigarh, ‘Umran Ch Ki Rakehya’ has been directed by Simerjit Singh. It also features actor-singer Gurjazz. The film has beautiful songs including “Zuban Pe” (composed by Gurmoh) and Ammy Virk’s “Haan Kargi.”
