AICC sources have confirmed that Mynampally Rohith, the young and dynamic MLA from Medak, is set to join the state cabinet in the upcoming expansion. This move comes as no surprise, given his consistent dedication to public service and effective governance.
Rohith, the son of seasoned politician Mynampally Hanumanth Rao, has a strong political lineage that has inspired his own commitment to serving the people. His father has served in various capacities, including MLA, MLC, Greater Hyderabad district president, and Medak district president.
Despite being a first-time MLA, Rohith has already made significant strides in addressing the needs of his constituents. He played a key role in securing a medical college for Medak, a long-standing aspiration of the local community. Furthermore, he has been actively involved in improving infrastructure, including developing an underground drainage system and new roads in Medak Municipality. Rohith’s dedication to education and healthcare is evident in his efforts to improve facilities at the Medak Government Hospital.
Rohith is the only Congress MLA from the Medak parliamentary constituency, which has seven MLAs. He won the seat against all odds, despite being targeted by the then ruling party BRS’s top leadership. He and his father left the BRS and joined Congress, giving a boost to the party’s cadre and creating a positive mood for the Congress in the state.

AICC President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge was also impressed with Rohith during his visit to Medak to campaign for him and is reportedly pushing for a cabinet berth for Rohith.
