Pune, Maharashtra (India), July 10, 2025: Education in India is largely reduced to standardized outcomes and exam scores. In this context, DSK School stands apart with its holistic approach to education and development — a place where young minds are not just nurtured to learn, but to lead. The recently held DSK MUN 2025 is a testament to this very vision of the school.
The third edition of the MUN conference at DSK School brought together students from different backgrounds and gave them a space to engage in complex global negotiations on current issues like digital privacy, orbital debris mitigation, the climate crisis, and refugee rights. The DSK MUN 2025 ran from the 12th to the 14th of July and was not just limited to policy debates and draft resolutions; it created an environment fostering purpose, character, curiosity, and leadership.
The DSK School is run by the D.S. Kulkarni Education Trust, which integrates academic excellence with practical skills. The school boasts a well-stocked library, a foreign language program, a student-run radio station, and smart classes. These are further supported by a favourable student-teacher ratio that allows for personal guidance. The school promotes conditions that support the growth of confidence, critical thinking, leadership, and other soft skills that will prepare students for global citizenship.
One of the notable moments of the DSK MUN 2025 was its Underprivileged Committee Day, which encouraged students from marginalised communities to participate in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly committee. It’s a reminder that DSK’s approach to leadership is not only academic but also deeply ethical and inclusive.
At its core, DSK School is more than a place of instruction. It is a launchpad for global citizens, where leadership is not taught in theory, but practised through opportunities like MUN. In a world looking for thoughtful, principled, and proactive changemakers, DSK School is quietly, consistently building them.
