At the young age of 20, when Ranjit was barely In the 3rd year of Architecture, he started a small Computer Training Centre by the name of “Computer Station Inc.”
He scaled this one center institute to a hundred-plus Centre Chain spread across the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat. In his career of 30 years, Ranjit has Scaled or Headed Different Education Companies like Computer Station Inc, Opportunities, Mothers Touch, Cyber Station, and British Learning. These Companies have collectively trained lacs of students till date.
Currently, Ranjit heads the Asia – Pacific Operations of one of the biggest edtech companies, which has thousands of students from over 27 countries. He plans to set up online cum physical classroom centers based on the Hybrid Model of education in over 200 major cities and India’s tier 1 and tier 2 cities.
Ranjit, as of date, is regarded as an authority in Education and is consulted by leading companies across the globe. He is also invited to speak in several education forums from time to time.
Ranjit believed in giving back to the Society, and even in his Personal capacity has initiated several large social projects across Mumbai & the Tribal Areas.
He undertook an effective awareness campaign to save the Dying Dahisar river by using Art for the very first time. This won him accolades from the WATERMAN of India, Dr Rajendra Singh. In his personal capacity, Ranjit has trained over 500 girls from the Mangarodi slums (Leprosy Colony in Dahisar) in IT Skills and English Communication.
Two large trees had to be cut down to construct a Public toilet outside Dahisar Railway Station. Ranjit accepted the Challenge and Constructed an Environmental friendly Toilet that Houses two large trees even today.
Ranjit has worked extensively in Tribal Regions around Mumbai in Medical and Education.
For his Social Initiatives, Ranjit has been Felicitated by the Mayor Of Mumbai, The Home Minister of Maharashtra, Different MPs, MLAs, and Corporators cutting across all political parties, environmentalists, and Philanthropic Personalities.
After Joining the Rotary Club of Mumbai Dahisar, Ranjit headed several Skill Development Centres for the Club and Headed a Unique Project to set up the First-ever Dental Clinic in the Tribal Village of Ranshet.
He has also been the Project chairman of several Eye camps, Dental Camps, and Various other rural and tribal projects initiated by the club. Ranjit is a Paul Harris Fellow and has won the Best Rotarian Award in his first year.
Ranjit has also been the All India General Secretary of one of the Largest NGOs working on Educational Reforms Across India. He is also on the Advisory Committee of Keshav Shrushti and continues to advise all their Education related projects across India.
Ranjit has also served as a Mentor in the prestigious ATAL INCUBATION CENTER initiated by NITI AYOG (Government of India). He specialises in mentoring Entrepreneurs who have started their own Start-Ups or in Social Initiatives as well as Agro or Agro-Tourism based projects.
Ranjit is currently the District Avenue Director of Rotary District 3141 and heads the IT Innovation and Skill Development Centres Avenue. He is heading a very dynamic initiative that will train over 20,000 youth in IOT Skills.
