On the occasion of his birthday, I had the honor of meeting him and diving deep into his journey, emotions, and vision.

Q: Margesh, you are celebrated as the best bilingual poet in India and also the best content writer in India. How did this journey begin?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): My journey began in 2020. It was a year of loss and rebirth for me. In March, I lost my father. The pain was unbearable. I could have given up, but instead, I turned that grief into strength. Later that year, I published my first English poetry collection Poetry – A Garland of Words. It had 143 poems. Each poem was a silent conversation with my father and also with the universe. That book was my tribute to him.
Q: What role did poetry play in healing you?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): Poetry was my way of talking to my father without words. I often say that every poem I wrote after his passing was like listening to the universe. Poetry gave me peace. It also gave me purpose. When Poetry – A Garland of Words became popular, I realized that my emotions were connecting with people across the world.
Q: After your first book, you went on to create a trilogy. Can you tell us about it?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): Yes, after my first book in English, I wanted to write in Hindi too. In 2021, I released Khushboo Bikherti Pagdandiyan. It had 120 poems based on nostalgia, love, and relationships. Readers felt the fragrance of everyday life in those poems. Then in December 2022, I published Sharbati Zindagi. It was a journey of sweetness and bitterness together. With these three books, I created a trilogy of emotions. All three books became Amazon bestsellers. They are proof that emotions have no boundaries, whether in Hindi or English.
Q: People call you the best Hindi author of this decade. How do you feel about this recognition?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan) : I feel blessed. Recognition is sweet, but the responsibility is greater. When people call me the best Hindi author or the best bilingual poet in India, I remind myself to keep working harder. My words are not mine alone. They belong to every reader who connects with them.
Q: You are also called the best content writer in India. How did content writing become part of your journey?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): Writing is my life. Over time, I wrote more than 10,000 write-ups. They have crossed 100 million impressions on different platforms. I also learned how to make content discoverable. Today, 99 out of 100 of my write-ups rank in the top three spots on Google. That is why many people call me the best content writer in India. I believe content writing is an art. It is not just about keywords but also about emotions.
Q: What is your philosophy when it comes to writing in two languages?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): I often say, Hindi is the soil I stand on, and English is the sky I reach for. Hindi connects me with my roots. English connects me with the world. I feel blessed that I can express myself in both languages. That is why people call me the best bilingual poet in India.
Q: Beyond writing, you are also a believer in numerology. How does it influence you?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): Yes, I strongly believe in stars and numbers. I often say that we do not do anything. It is the stars and numbers that play the game. This belief gives me peace and also direction. It reminds me that creativity and destiny are deeply connected.
Q: You have achieved so much in such a short span. What keeps you going?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): The love of readers keeps me going. The support of people who read my books and my write-ups is the biggest motivation. I also believe that words are not written; they are remembered from the soul. When I write, I feel like I am leaving a part of myself behind for generations.
Q: What can your readers expect from you in the coming years?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): I am working on three books. A new Hindi poetry collection is planned for December 2025. In September 2026, I want to release an English book on Gau and Gau Sanskriti. It will be a blend of culture, devotion, and poetry. Then in February 2027, I plan to publish a Hindi short story collection. I am also delaying my novel Mere Maut ki Afwah because I want it to be perfect. I never want to deliver anything less than extraordinary.
Q: If you had to define yourself in one sentence, what would it be?
Margesh Rai (Margdarshan): Poetry is not what I write. It is what I leave behind in the hearts of people.
