At a time when fast-paced development is driving generic concrete towers across Indian cities, Jabar Bin Ahamed is quietly building a different kind of legacy — one shaped by grandeur, cultural roots, and architectural soul.

As the founder of JB Group Architects, headquartered in Kozhikode, Jabar has redefined what luxury means in Kerala. His creations — from sprawling palatial homes to stunning mosque complexes — are not just structures but statements.

Designing a New Royalty for Modern Kerala

Among his many acclaimed projects is a Turkish-style mansion in Kakkathadam, Malappuram, spread across an awe-inspiring 12,500 sq. ft. The estate features handpicked luxury materials including Italian marble, custom railings, and interiors that blend Ottoman aesthetics with Kerala’s heritage.

Each element of the design tells a story. The staircase, for example, was crafted by artisans known for restoring the Arakkal Palace in Wayanad, reflecting Jabar’s commitment to using traditional skills in modern luxury.

His homes aren’t just large — they’re deeply thoughtful. From imported furnishings sourced from Dubai to the integration of natural light and airflow, every detail is built for both beauty and longevity.

Mosques That Inspire Silence and Awe

Equally significant is Jabar’s work in mosque architecture. His recent mosque projects across Kerala have gained national and international praise for their stunning integration of Islamic art, symmetrical layouts, and spiritual ambiance.

Towering domes, detailed calligraphy, and precise acoustics define these sacred spaces. His approach merges structural integrity with religious symbolism, resulting in mosques that feel both ancient and futuristic.

For many communities, these mosques have become not just places of prayer, but architectural landmarks and spiritual hubs.

Investing in the Future Through Architectural Training

Recognizing the importance of mentoring future talent, Jabar recently launched an in-house architectural training division under the JB Group banner. The initiative is designed to pass on his two-decade experience in high-end design to the next generation.

Joining him in this mission is Vyshnavy Mohan, a respected academic and heritage architect. As the Co-Founder of GALP (Global Architecture Launchpad) and Senior Project Coordinator at JB Group, she brings rich field experience and academic credibility.

Vyshnavy has previously worked with INTACH on conservation efforts and has taught architecture at top institutions. Her leadership ensures that the training program is hands-on, heritage-focused, and aligned with modern luxury demands.

A Vision Rooted in Legacy, Not Trends

In a world chasing fast-paced, cookie-cutter architecture, Jabar Bin Ahamed is building slowly, purposefully, and with character. His buildings are made to last — not just in structure but in memory.

Whether designing a mansion that echoes royal comfort or a mosque that calls to prayer in quiet beauty, Jabar is laying the foundation for a Kerala skyline that respects its roots while embracing the future. From Kozhikode to Malappuram, and soon across the Gulf, the mark of JB Group Architects is becoming a signature of elegance, heritage, and visionary craft.
