Patna — In a moment of immense pride for Bihar, two of the state’s leading karate professionals — Harsh Kumar and Rakesh Raj— have successfully cleared the Asian Karate Federation (AKF) Judge Examination, earning international recognition for their expertise and dedication.

The examination was conducted during the 9th South Asian Karate Championship 2025, held from 2nd to 4th July in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Known for its rigorous standards and high-level assessments, the AKF Judge Exam is one of the most prestigious certifications in Asian martial arts.

Speaking on the achievement, Mukesh Mishra, Joint Secretary and Senior Coach of the State Karate Association of Bihar (SKAB), said:

“This is more than just an individual accomplishment. It’s a proud moment for the entire Bihar karate community. Their success will inspire the next generation of karate athletes and officials.”

Mishra extended heartfelt gratitude to Hanshi Bharat Sharma, Honorary President of the Karate India Organisation (KIO) and South Asian Karate Do Federation, whose mentorship and vision have played a crucial role in the development of karate across India. SKAB also acknowledged the unwavering support of its leadership team — Shri Abhay Kumar (Honorary President), Shri Pankaj Kambli (Secretary General), Shri Suraj Kumar (Treasurer), and Shri R.S. Yadav (Head Coach & Team Manager).
