To support India’s cultural and rural legacy, Narendra Kumar, Founder of Rashtriya Gau Sevak Sangh (RGSS) and Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation, led a delegation to meet with Dr. Prem Kumar, Senior BJP leader and seven-time Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. In the meeting, Narendra Kumar presented a proposal for establishing Gau Seva Aayog in Bihar.
Narendra Kumar shared his thoughts on setting up a state-level body with Dr. Prem Kumar to ensure the service, protection, and conservation of cows. The proposal aims to strengthen the policy, administrative, and financial support mechanisms around cow welfare in the state.
“Bihar has the potential to lead India in Gau Raksha and Gau Sanvardhan,” said Narendra Kumar. With over 1.2 crore indigenous cows and rich cultural values, the formation of Gau Seva Aayog can help generate over 1 lakh employment opportunities in gaushala management, Gau Aadharit Krishi, and Cow-Based rural industry.
In Patna, the meeting took place. According to Narendra Kumar’s Facebook post, Dr. Prem Kumar gave a warm reception to the delegation and heard the viewpoint of RGSS team members.
Key Proposals Presented
Narendra Kumar’s primary recommendation was the formulation of Gau Seva Aayog to develop state-level strategies, bring cow-centric schemes to life, and ensure apt budgetary allocations. Showcasing his hope for establishing Gau Seva Aayog in Bihar, Narendra Kumar remarked, “The Gau Seva Aayog could serve as an agency to encourage indigenous cattle breeds, empower farmers financially, and open the window for cow-based livelihoods, leading to rural development. “
Through the second proposal, Narendra Kumar requested that cow slaughter should be treated as a non-bailable offence, with a minimum punishment of life imprisonment. He stated firmly, “Cow slaughter is a deep cultural wound. It’s high time that Bihar need to bring into light the stricter penalties to protect our Dharmic heritage.” In Narendra Kumar’s Facebook post, it is mentioned that Dr. Prem Kumar will take this matter to the party’s top leadership and commence the required discussions. Besides Narendra Kumar, others who joined the meeting include Venugopal Naidu Puvvada, Sanjeet Kumar, Bharat Singh Rajpurohit, and others.
