Chandigarh, February 6, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab affairs co-in-charge Raghav Chadha on Congress declaring Charanjit Singh Channi as the chief ministerial face said that Channi’s name will not make any difference to the people of Punjab as the people are not going to vote for him or the Congress party. The people of Punjab have made up their mind to give a chance to the Aam Aadmi Party this time. People of every section want change and will vote for Aam Aadmi Party to bring that change. On February 20th, three crore people of Punjab will hit ‘Jharoo’ button to form AAP government.
Chadha said that it is a matter of great sadness Congress got only sand thief for their chief minister face. The Congress has chosen such a person who has sold the soil of Punjab by running a sand mafia. The Congress has utterly betrayed the people of Punjab by making a leader, who is facing serious allegations like sand mafia and transfer-posting scam, as the chief ministerial face.
He asked that a person, who could not live without corruption and mafia even for 111 days, how would he manage full 5 years? The nephew of Chief Minister Channi himself has admitted before the ED that 10 crore cash and 54 crore property papers found in the raid from his house, belonged to the sand mafia and transfer-posting. Chadha said that now the people of Punjab have two options. On the one hand dishonest man Charanjit Singh Channi, who has been accused of sand theft and transfer-posting scam. On the other hand there is Bhagwant Mann, an honest man who left his profession while he was earning crores of rupees and fought for the people of Punjab and always raised the voice in favour of Punjabis in the Parliament.
Chadha appealed to the people to support the Aam Aadmi Party and said that Badals and Congress got opportunities for 50 years, but instead of working for the people, they only filled their pockets. This time give a chance to the honest leaders Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. All Punjab needs is an honest and good government. Only honest government can make Punjab happy and prosperous again. If this time the power of Punjab is lost in the hands of such sand thieves, cable and transport mafia, then nothing will be left.
