Parmeet Singh has become a sensation in the vibrant New York theatre circuit. One of his earliest standout performances was in the premiere of Haunt Me at The Tank Theatre, where he played the lead role of Ness. The role demanded quick, dramatic transitions, navigating through timelines, dreams, and reality. Parmeet delivered the part with depth and precision—his performance was like watching a seasoned artisan at work.
A foundational concept in acting, the nature of relationships, came vividly alive in Parmeet’s portrayal. His interactions with each character were marked by unique choices and emotional clarity, showcasing a mastery rarely seen. When asked about his preparation, Parmeet shared, “For me, it is all about journaling as the character—trying to explore what’s beyond and deeper than the script.” His immersive approach sets him apart from many of his peers in the competitive NYC acting scene.
Following his breakout performance, Parmeet went on to tackle two iconic roles at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey: Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He brought youthful energy and charm to both roles—his Romeo was fiery and heartfelt, while his Lysander was witty and mischievous. Veteran director Michael Stuart Allen, known for his work on Broadway and national tours, remarked, “Parmeet makes any role perfect for himself.”
Most recently, Parmeet took on the complex character of John Willoughby from Jane Austen’s literary universe, presented by Hudson Classical Theater Company. As Willoughby, Parmeet skillfully balanced charm and manipulation, bringing both humor and emotional weight to a role that is equal parts seductive and selfish. The performance was layered—while audiences were drawn in by Willoughby’s charisma, they were equally unsettled by his moral failings.
“One thing you always get when watching Parmeet is entertainment—a lot of it,” said Susane, Executive Artistic Director of Hudson Classical Theatre Company. “His background in physical comedy and vocal training really shines through. He’s an integral artist, a true asset, and a sweetheart to work with. We plan to collaborate with him for many years to come.”
Adding to his growing acclaim, Parmeet recently signed with Erist Talent Agency, which currently holds the 22nd position on IMDb’s StarMeter—a testament to his growing market presence and commercial appeal.
Today, Parmeet is being courted by theatre companies across the country. With a strong support system—his agency, his training, and his relentless work ethic—he’s on a rapid upward trajectory. His blend of classical discipline and modern sensibility makes him one of the most exciting young actors to watch in American theatre.
With talent this undeniable and momentum this fierce, for Parmeet Singh, not even the sky is the limit.
