The KIO Referee & Judge Seminar 2025 was successfully conducted on 5th November 2025 at Rehan Marriage Hall, Howrah, organised by the Shito Ryu Karate Do Federation under the guidance of Sensei Imtiaz Ansari.
The seminar was an inspiring and knowledge-driven platform aimed at refining the understanding of rules, regulations, and judging standards among Karate officials — a vital step toward maintaining fairness, discipline, and excellence in the sport.
The seminar was conducted by Premjit Sen, President of the Karate Do Association of Bengal and a distinguished World Karate Federation (WKF) International Referee with decades of technical expertise and global recognition. Over the years, under his mentorship and training, numerous referees and judges from India have risen to international standards, representing the nation with pride at prestigious WKF and AKF events. His dynamic teaching style and deep understanding of the game have made him one of the most respected figures in Indian Karate.

Speaking on the occasion, Premjit Sen remarked:
“Knowing the rules is not only essential for officiating — it is the soul of our sport. True Karate thrives on knowledge, fairness, and integrity. When our referees and judges master the rules, they protect the spirit of Karate and ensure every athlete’s effort is honoured with justice.”
The event was graced by Dr. Rana Chatterjee, MLA of Bally, whose presence and encouragement added great value to the occasion.
The seminar concluded with renewed enthusiasm and a collective resolve among all participants to serve Karate with technical precision, fairness, and the spirit of continuous learning, echoing the legacy of excellence championed by Premjit Sen.
