While many novels explore life in engineering colleges, I wanted to highlight a different educational journey—one that exposes students to social issues. I hope readers laugh with the story but also reflect on the underlying social challenges it portrays. - How did you build the vivid world in the novel? Did real-life places influence it?
Absolutely. Having studied at Delhi University and TISS, I drew from those experiences to create immersive and realistic settings. These places, which I’ve personally lived through, provided the texture and detail in the novel. - How do you balance originality with reader expectations in storytelling?
I don’t follow formulaic patterns. To me, a good story told in a compelling way is enough. The challenge lies in deciding which sub-stories to retain and which to trim to maintain the narrative flow. - How do you maintain momentum and engagement in your story?
