Thane, August 2025 – The Yuvaa Udaan Foundation marked its first public initiative on Independence Day by honouring the city’s police officers for their year-round service.
In collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Thane Hills, the Foundation distributed umbrellas and shawls to officers at key city locations including Kopri Police Station, Kopri Traffic Police Station, Mulund Check Naka, Teen Haath Naka, and Nitin Company junction.
Founder Sahil Sidhwani said the gesture was a way to acknowledge the dedication of police personnel: “They protect us in every season – from heat to rain to winter. We wanted to give them something that offers protection, just as they protect us.”
The event was attended by Shri Bharat Chavan ji, Corporator, Thane Municipal Corporation, and Omkar Chavan ji, Maharashtra State Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, who served as chief guests.
The Foundation expressed gratitude to the Rotaract Club of Thane Hills leadership – Rtr. Sayali Koragaonkar (President), Rtr. Gargi Wardham (Secretary), and Rtr. Virtti Sidhwani (Community Service Director) – for their support in making the inaugural event a success.
