The 19th Annual Day celebration of Christ College of Engineering and Technology, Moolakulam, Puducherry, was held on Friday, 25th April 2025, as part of CETAFEST 2025, organized by the team of Sam Paul Educational Trust.
The grand event was presided over by Dr. Sam Paul, Managing Director of Sam Paul Educational Trust, who delivered the presidential address and officially released the college annual magazine. The celebration was further elevated by the presence of four distinguished celebrity guests—renowned actor, music director , singer and producer Mr. G.V. Prakash, television personality Mr. KPY A.Sathish actor , playback singer Ms. J. Sreenisha, and other dignitaries—marking a historic first in Puducherry, as Christ College of Engineering and Technology became the only institution in the region to host four celebritys chief guests for an Annual Day celebration. This remarkable achievement was widely recognized and shared across 100+ influencers and social media pages, showcasing the institution’s vibrant spirit and popularity.
Dr. A. Sivakumar, Principal of the college, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the key academic and institutional achievements of the year.
In his address, Dr. Sam Paul reiterated the college’s unwavering mission to develop responsible, value-driven individuals through quality education and consistent encouragement.
As part of the celebration, meritorious students from the academic year 2024–2025, at both university and college levels, were awarded certificates and medals for their excellence. Faculty members who played a pivotal role in guiding students were also honored. Additionally, winners of various sports and cultural competitions received certificates and trophies recognizing their outstanding performances.
The event concluded with energetic cultural performances by the students, featuring music, dance, and drama that highlighted the creativity and talent within the campus.
The function witnessed the active participation of Mr. C. Kumaravel, Director of the College, Mr. L. Subramaniam, Administrative Officer, principals of other institutions under the Sam Paul Educational Trust, heads of departments, faculty members, and a large number of enthusiastic students.
The 19th Annual Day of CCET was a grand success, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to excellence and holistic student development, and marking a proud and memorable moment in the history of higher education events in Puducherry.
