Rubeena Akhter aka Ruby Taurus, is an Actor,Singer and a corporate Anchor working in the Indian Entertainment Industry. She mentions that she’s as energetic and enthusiastic as she was at the starting of her career and claims, she still needs a lot to achieve in her career and it’s a long road ahead. Her acting journey started as a child when she started working as a child artist for Doordarshan.
Rubeena, although an actor and singer, is majorly known for her directorial roles for songs like Kudi Patakha,Bubbly Cheeks, Mitran Di jaan , Kudi Mehjabeen, by T-Series. Her song Kudi Patakha features Rubeena Akhter herself and interestingly the lyrics too were penned by her. She has won the best debut Director Award at the Indogma film festival 2019 for her punjabi music video “Bubbly Cheeks “ which was released at t-series. She has given her beautiful voice for many albums as a singer and has recreated some songs on her YouTube to entertain her fans. She has won The best Entertainer Awards many Times from Corporates and well-known Event companies. Rubeena hails from the ethereal lands of Jammu and Kashmir. After graduating from the University of Kashmir, she shifted to New Delhi to start her career in the industry and is now living the Heartland of the Hindi Film Industry (Bollywood) – Mumbai.
She had started working as a voice-over artist with a book publishing company in Delhi where she also worked as an emcee. “I have worked in a lot of domains, be it corporate jobs, casting cordinator, Model, actor, director, voice-over artist and what not” she says. Her modelling journey started when she won a beauty peagent and was titled “Miss Naraina”, named after a popular area in New Delhi. Also, in 2018 she came up as the runner up in an international beauty peagent – Empress Universe
Rubeena has been working as a corporate anchor and has done more than 1200+ shows in India and abroad namely, Singapore, Dubai, Europe et al. Apart from being an emcee to the corporates, she has also hosted fashion shows, TV presentations, Live concerts, Music and Award events. She hosted the JEMA awards, which is an award function meant to facilitate Bollywood celebrities & artists who hail from Haryana. She had also hosted the lifetime achievement awards for the government of Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharat Gaurav Awards and many more.
Rubeena mentions that she was the model and cover girl of a magazine named, G3. She was also a top 5 contestant in the well known TV reality show – Date to remember on Mtv. Rubeena has worked in television commercials for popular brands like – BSNL, Income-tax department of India, Ortho balm, Birla TMT, GLA University among others. She has also worked in a corporate movie & in a Comedy Webseries as a Lead, which is yet to be released. Rubeena mentioned that she has something grand in her kitty which she said needs time to come out in public. She is also working on her new music videos, which she says, shall be released soon.
