In an extraordinary year of wanderlust and self-discovery, Shubh Divekar, a young traveler from Kolhapur, explored 10 states across India, collecting experiences that shaped his perspective on life and culture. Reflecting on his journey, Shubh shared how it all began in Delhi, where he spent seven months uncovering the city’s vibrant streets and historical landmarks. “Delhi was challenging at first,” he said, explaining how the distance from home and the cultural shift pushed him to adapt. “But it also taught me the importance of family—I used to call my mom every day just to feel connected.”

During his time in Delhi, Shubh immersed himself in the city’s essence, from India Gate to the vibrant markets of Chandni Chowk, the serene Lodhi Gardens, and the grand Qutub Minar. Watching the Republic Day Parade on 26th January, he said, was a moment of immense pride. Beyond Delhi, he ventured to Haryana’s peaceful Aravalli Hills and enjoyed the energetic parties in Gurgaon, which added a dynamic twist to his urban adventures.

He recounted how companionship played a significant role in his journey. “I met Mohit from Vizag and Naveen Bhaiya from Rajasthan—they made Delhi feel like home.” Together, they embarked on unforgettable trips. In Uttar Pradesh, they celebrated Holi in the colorful streets of Vrindavan, completed the spiritual Govardhan Parikrama in Rajasthan, and visited the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra.

Shubh added that his solo travels also brought him profound experiences. In Uttarakhand, he explored Haridwar and attended the soul-stirring Ganga Aarti. In Rishikesh, he joined a group for a thrilling 19 km river rafting adventure, which pushed his limits and left him exhilarated.

His travels through Maharashtra were equally enriching. “Mahabaleshwar was beautiful—I went horse riding and ate fresh strawberries,” he shared. He spoke fondly of Pune, where he celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi, and described Mumbai’s Marine Drive in the rains as magical. Goa and its surroundings held special memories, from off-roading dirt bikes in Tilari to trekking in Amboli’s lush green trails. “Every trip felt like an adventure,” he added.

Shubh’s journey through Madhya Pradesh brought spiritual fulfillment. He experienced the famous Bhasm Aarti at Ujjain’s Mahakal Temple and enjoyed boat rides in Omkareshwar. “Indore’s street food was incredible, and every corner had a story,” he said. He also touched Surat, Gujarat, while on his way to Madhya Pradesh, where the city’s charm added another layer to his travels.

The year wasn’t just about destinations; it was about the journey itself. “Every state had something unique to teach me, and I’m grateful for these experiences,” he said.

Shubh’s travels, guided by Lord Shiva’s blessings, are documented on his YouTube channel, Shubh Divekar, and Instagram, @shubh.divekar. He added, “This is just the beginning—there’s so much more to explore.”
