The Bengal Little Legends Cup 2026 – 10th West Bengal Inter School Karate Championship concluded with resounding success, reaffirming West Bengal’s growing dominance in school-level karate. Spearheaded by renowned karate leader and mentor Hanshi Premjit Sen, the championship has now established itself as one of the largest and most prestigious inter-school karate platforms in Eastern India.
Held at South City International School, the mega sporting event witnessed participation from over 1200 young athletes representing 120 schools, showcasing exceptional discipline, technical brilliance and the indomitable spirit of martial arts.
The championship was graced by eminent personalities from the fields of sports, law and education, who praised the scale, professionalism and long-term impact of the initiative.
Former International Cricketer and Former CAB Administrator Mr. Sambaran Banerjee, who has known Premjit Sen for over two decades, stated:
“I have known Premjit for more than 20 years and have seen his journey closely. What he has built today is the result of relentless dedication and vision. His contribution to the development of karate in Bengal is extraordinary. He has transformed it into a structured movement that consistently produces real champions.”
Vice President of the Bengal Olympic Association Mr. Kamalesh Chatterjee, who also shares a long association of over 20–25 years, remarked:
“For more than two decades, I have witnessed his unwavering commitment to karate. Very few administrators sustain such passion and consistency. His grassroots development system is producing national-level champions year after year. Bengal karate stands stronger today because of his leadership.”
Chairman & Principal Owner of Kolkata Thunder Bolt CA Pawan Kumar Patodia highlighted the social impact of the movement:
“What stands out most is the empowerment of young girls through karate. This platform is not only producing champions but building confidence, courage and leadership among female athletes. This is true empowerment through sport.”

Secretary of St. Stephen’s School Mr. Imran Zaki commented:

Senior Advocate, High Court, Calcutta Mr. Nayan Chand Bihani added:

An elite officiating panel of 100 National Level Referees, including five officials from the Asian Karate Federation and one esteemed Judge from the World Karate Federation, ensured the highest standards of fairness and technical excellence throughout the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Hanshi Premjit Sen delivered an inspiring message:
“Karate is not just about medals — it is about discipline, character and courage. My mission is to build strong individuals, especially empower young girls to stand fearless in society.
