  • The startup will set up its headquarters at the World Trade Centre in Colombo.
  • The rollout includes Aaveg and the Nawgati Fueling App, enabling smarter fuel station operations and greater consumer convenience.
  • This expansion aligns with the company’s global growth strategy across emerging fuel markets.

New Delhi, [India] December 10, 2025: Nawgati, a leading fuel-tech solutions provider transforming the fueling ecosystem across India and the UAE, has officially announced its entry into Sri Lanka. The expansion marks a significant step in the company’s broader international growth strategy as it accelerates digitisation across fuel retail networks.

Sri Lanka has emerged as a strategic market due to its operational similarities with India, including demographic characteristics, the established presence of major Indian fuel retailers, and standardised fuel station compliance frameworks. This alignment enables Nawgati to scale rapidly while maintaining consistent deployment and operational efficiency.

In the first phase of rollout, Nawgati will launch services in Colombo, followed by expansion into additional high-density urban areas across the country. Nawgati’s Sri Lanka headquarters will be located at the World Trade Centre, Colombo, positioning the company at the centre of the nation’s commercial and regulatory ecosystem.

Aligned with Nawgati’s long-term roadmap of expanding across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, the company will introduce its flagship products to the Sri Lankan market:

  • Aaveg: Nawgati’s congestion and compliance intelligence platform is designed for fuel station operators and oil marketing companies
  • Nawgati Fueling App: A consumer-facing platform offering fuel availability insights, wait-time visibility, and a more predictable fueling experience, now already live for users across Sri Lanka.

Commenting on the expansion, Vaibhav Kaushik, CEO and Co-founder, Nawgati, said, “Sri Lanka fits seamlessly into our growth strategy, not just geographically, but operationally. It is a high-value extension of the work we’ve already been doing in India and the UAE. The market readiness, regulatory alignment, and presence of established Indian operators create a strong foundation for scale. Our aim is to support the industry with technology that reduces uncertainty, improves efficiency, and builds trust, for both fuel operators and the millions of people who rely on them every day. We see Sri Lanka as a long-term investment and an important milestone in building smarter, connected fueling ecosystems globally.”

The company is already in early discussions with private-sector fuel operators and is exploring collaborations with government entities to enable large-scale adoption of monitoring and compliance infrastructure across the nation.

The Nawgati Fueling App is already live for Sri Lankan users, marking an important first step in the company’s market rollout. Over the next 2–5 years, Nawgati plans to scale adoption across fuel stations and industry partners, enabling real-time operational visibility, improved compliance, and a more reliable fueling experience.
