Karnal, (Haryana) [India]: Popular educator, author, and researcher Dr Niddhi Khetarrpal has launched her latest book “Vision CUET for Economics”, a comprehensive and student-focused guide designed to support aspirants preparing Economics as a major subject under the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
The book has been introduced at a time when undergraduate admissions across India are being reshaped under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which promotes multidisciplinary learning, flexibility in subject choices, and competency-based assessment.
Alongside the book launch, Dr Khetarrpal has also presented her research paper titled “COMPASS Framework: A Pedagogical Model for Commerce Entrance Examination Readiness under NEP 2020” in the prestigious Journal of Indian Education. The research highlights how CUET is emerging as a single-window gateway that is transforming the academic and career trajectories of commerce and economics students.
Vision CUET for Economics offers a structured preparation roadmap with strong emphasis on conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, application-based problem-solving, and exam-oriented practice. The book is specially designed to help students understand the evolving CUET question patterns and build subject mastery from the school level itself.
Dr Khetarrpal explains that Economics has now become a high-demand interdisciplinary subject, closely connected with data analytics, artificial intelligence, business analytics, financial technology, and policy studies. This growing integration has significantly expanded career opportunities for students from commerce, humanities, and non-medical science backgrounds.
Her research further explains that CUET, in alignment with NEP 2020, is encouraging students to explore diverse subject combinations and build personalised academic pathways instead of being restricted to conventional streams.
Dr Khetarrpal also stresses the importance of early profile building, skill development, and career awareness among students of classes 8 to 12, so that they are better prepared for competitive entrance examinations and future-oriented careers.
Through her academic initiatives, publications, and training programmes, Dr Niddhi Khetarrpal continues to contribute towards strengthening India’s entrance-exam readiness ecosystem and improving the quality of commerce and economics education nationwide.
