Early Life and Education
Born in Jorhat, Assam, Dr. Bordoloi’s academic brilliance was evident from a young age. He secured the second position in the state during his early education at Jorhat Govt. Higher Secondary School. His quest for knowledge took him to Delhi University, where he completed his B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. in Chemistry. Driven by a passion for scientific discovery, he moved to New York University (NYU) for a Ph.D. in a joint program of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, supported by a Teaching Fellowship.
Professional Milestones
Dr. Bordoloi’s professional journey began in California at Avery Dennison Corp. While working, he pursued an MBA at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and taught as a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Materials Science & Engineering. His career took a significant turn when he joined Baxter Healthcare Corp., where he set up operations in India for peritoneal dialysis, expanding the business across South Asia and the Far East.
At Johnson & Johnson, Dr. Bordoloi’s innovative spirit shone brightly as he worked in Research & Development in bio-surgery. His contributions led to several patents and advancements in wound management and tissue engineering. After retiring from Johnson & Johnson, he founded Bordoloi Biotech LLC and Bordoloi Biotech India Pvt Ltd (BBIPL), where he developed groundbreaking products like HerboJoint and HerboCare, blending Ayurvedic wisdom with modern science.

Dr. Bordoloi’s family is a source of immense pride and joy. He and his wife, Bani, have three married children—a daughter with a doctorate in Education, living in New York City, and two sons, both Doctors of Pharmacy graduates, working in the Bay Area. Despite his busy professional life, Dr. Bordoloi has always prioritized his family, balancing his time between their homes in Southern California and New Jersey.
